a taste of roller coasters

About a week ago, a friend had a birthday party, scheduled to be full of roller skating delight.  However, through a series of unfortunate events, roller skating ended up being closed for roller hockey on the day of the birthday celebration.  Not being a group to quit on fun with such a minor obstacle in our way, we decided to make the most of the other activities the establishment provided, which ranged from a carousel, laser tag, assorted video games, bumper cars and a mini roller coaster.  I hesitated and required a fair amount of coaxing before agreeing to ride this so called Dragon Coaster, but eventually did it, 6 times!  In a word, it was pretty awesome.  While this definitely, in no way actually qualifies as a roller coaster and thus does not give me the right to cross off number 4 on my list, it did give me the taste I needed to be ready to embrace real roller coasters come summertime - and I can't wait!
